Dive right in!
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to, after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is.
Your Discover Scuba Diving program will be led by a PADI Instructor who will guide you step by step through the 3 part experience, where you will learn to breathe and swim freely underwater.
The first part consists of an orientation to the basic concepts of scuba diving including equipment, diving skills, and safety measures. The second part includes your first breaths underwater. Your instructor will lead you through basic scuba skills in shallow water that is often crystal clear. Once the scuba skills are completed, you have the option to move forward to part three: your first dive. Your first dive is an amazing event viewing the aquatic life as you never have before.
If your Discover Scuba Diving program includes an actual scuba dive in open water, your experience may count toward PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification. If you choose to continue to the open water course with Luna Beach, then the Discover Scuba Diving is complimentary.
To take Discover Scuba Diving, you must be at least 10 years old.
